Neutron Shielded Doors
The work of this section consists of furnishing installing the door and furnishing only the frame for the linear accelerator room. The door is constructed of 1/2" steel framing member around the entire perlmeter of door and shall have 1/4" steel faceplates. The hinge faceplates of the door shall have 1/2" x 5" barstock welded to the interior of the plate diagonally, the full length of the door. The interior of the door shall has RPP's lead shielding and polyethylene, as indicated in drawings. Frame shall be constructed of 1/4" steel of shape & size as detailed on achitectural drawings, complete with lead lining and bottom lead lined sill as shown and welded in anchors including sill anchors.
