PRODUCT PRESENTATION

CLARIDGE HORIZONTAL SLIDING UNITS

Claridge horizontal sliding units are highly functional, multi-purpose units that can double the writing and visual display area of your wall space. Multiple panel installations allow presentations to be prepared in advance.

Standard Horizontal Sliding Unit installations consist of:

• Two, three or four tracks
• Two, three or four sliding panels
• Fixed back panel

Sliding Panels and Fixed Back Panel options include:

• Porcelain enamel steel writing surface with either LCS Markerboard or Vitracite Chalkboard
• Tackable panels of Claridge Cork, Hook-Fab, Fabricork, Designer Fabric or Tan Nucork
• Glass beaded projection screen
• Any combination of the above

Features:

• Trim and panel edging are extruded aluminum, satin anodize finish
• Sliding panels are top-suspended and glide easily over aluminum track on molded nylon rollers
• Standard height is 4’0”; lengths up to 24’0”
• Approximately 3/8” between sliding panels

Horizontal Sliding Unit Options:

• Color anodize or powder coat paint finish aluminum
• Units can be manufactured for ceiling to floor installation, or anywhere in between - no cost, no obligation quotation
• Component parts only - sliding panels with track, guide channel and hardware - no housing
• Special fabrics or customer supplied materials in sliding panel and / or back panel

Architect’s Specification

Furnish and install where shown on shop drawings, Horizontal Sliding Units manufactured by Claridge Products and Equipment, Inc., Harrison, Arkansas. Sliding panels to be (architect to select from 24 gauge LCS markerboard or 24 gauge Vitracite chalkboard writing surface, or Claridge Cork, Fabricork, Hook- Fab, Designer Fabric or Tan Nucork tackboard surface). Fixed back panel to be selected by architect from any of the above materials or any combination of these. Color charts available on request. Typical sliding panel make-up for Markerboards and Chalkboards consists of 24 gauge steel face sheet, 3/8” honeycomb core, with steel backing. Typical back panel make-up for Markerboards and Chalkboards consists of 24 gauge steel face sheet, 3/8” particleboard core with .002 foil backing. Typical panel make-up for sliding panels and/or back panels for tackboard consists of 1/4” Claridge Cork with burlap back on hardboard, Fabricork, Hook-Fab, Designer Fabric on cork underlay on hardboard, or Tan Nucork on hardboard. Frame and exposed metal members to be extruded aluminum in etched and anodized satin finish (color anodize or powder coat finishes optional), with all corners reinforced with angles to strengthen frame. Nylon ball bearing rollers at top of unit and nylon guide rollers at bottom of unit to be of sufficient size and number to eliminate vibration and provide smooth and quiet operation of the panels.
