Hugh Lofting Timber Framing, Inc. has designed, crafted and raised timber frame structures throughout the United States but focuses on the eastern seaboard market. Our firm has raised structures ranging from a small lean-to to grand church sanctuaries. We work with many wood species and with many timber specifications including:
  • Solid, green and kiln dried timbers
  • FSC certified timbers
  • Reclaimed and salvaged timbers
  • Glued laminated beams and trusses

Timber framing lends itself to many styles and structures but barns are a particular favorite because of their simple straightforward architecture. These include: architectural trusses, churches, retail spaces and office buildings, hybrid structures that incorporate timber framing with SIPS, formed concrete, stick framing or other enclosure system, commercial inns, pavilions and barns.
