Sargent's 2900 Series Fireguard Closer-Holder satisfies fire and building codes which require that doors be 'self-closing' to stop the spread of fire and smoke. Often, this requirement interferes with the normal operation of the building. The 'multi-point' Fireguard allows the door to be held open (10 to 170 degrees) during normal operation of the building, while providing for automatic closing during fire (emergency) conditions.
