Log Cabin Homes- Siding and Decking

Canfor manufactures a number of siding and decking products primarily used in the Log Cabin Home industry. The SilvaStar® brand of Log Cabin siding and exterior /Interior roof decking adds real beauty to Log homes at a cost effective price. SilvaStar® log cabin siding is designed to create an attractive and rustic appearance for house exteriors. It is made from premium grade kiln dried SPF material, ensuring superb straightness and dimensional stability. The siding gives the appearance of a log home at a fraction of the cost. The siding is available in two profiles with or without a reveal. Using Kiln dried SPF log cabin siding allows quick installation and standard 2x4 framing method to be used to create a rustic log home appearance.


SilvaStar decking is graded on both sides so as to be fully reversible making it ideal for soffits and exposed ceilings. SilvaStar decking is often used as both an exposed ceiling and an exposed sub floor in cabins and 2nd homes. The rich Canadian SPF color offers a warmer appearance to other European softwood species. Tight small knots and a rich warm color create a pleasing natural look for interior walls, ceilings and soffits.


Decking
  • Premium select decking is manufactured from J-Grade lumber and is stamped with NLGA 127B to indicate the highest quality and consistency
  • Appearance graded on both sides to ensure maximum versatility (reversible)
  • SPF heavy to pine delivers a richer color than European whitewoods, enhancing the quality and ambiance of a finished room
  • Packages are tongue and groove interlocked to prevent breakage during transit. Paper wrapped with dunnage and corner protectors.
