THE SYSTEM

The ER2RA System consists of a dovetail ribbed profile which 1. provides a flat ceiling surface. The dovetail rib is two inches deep with a one and one-half inch wide flat top flange and a one-half inch opening on the exposed surface. The upper flat flange of the dovetail configuration allows for the attachment of upper roof members (gypsum board, insulation, roofing membranes) 2. while concealing the fastener 3. penetration inside the dovetail.

The rigidity of the dovetail ribbed panel assures stiffness between the structural supports and will accommodate spans to twelve feet. The thick three pound density acoustical element, 4. with its continuous galvanized mesh 5. support, achieves superb N.R.C. ratings without relying on components that are outside the ER2RA system. The acoustical components are easily installed after the attachment of the ER2RA profile to the supporting members. No worry about locating acoustical standoffs. No stuffing of acoustical elements into fluted cells. The large flat surfaces can accommodate all fastening requirements easily whether it be for uplift or diaphragm.

The use of the ER2RA System provides an aesthetically pleasing plank-look acoustical ceiling and structural roof panel in one. The field labor necessary to install the ER2RA System is less than a cellular acoustical ceiling while providing the same benefits.
