Pilkington Pyrodur^® fire-protection glass was specifically designed to meet the requirements for 20 minute fire-rated glass applications in the United States. Its performance is based on the same advanced technology as Pilkington Pyrostop^® fire-resistance glass.

Pilkington Pyrodur^® fire-protection glass holds back the flames, smoke and hot gases from a fire. The advantage compared to other fire rated glass types is that it offers better thermal protection by blocking 90% of radiant heat from a fire. As Pilkington Pyrostop^® fire resistance glass, it must always be used as a part of an approved fire rated framing assembly.
