HC-100 & HC-200 Laminated Honeycomb Wall Panels
The HC-100 and HC-200 laminated honeycomb metal wall panels offer perhaps the flattest panel systems available in the market today. The panel skins are formed on press brakes, ensuring clean, crisp lines and offering greater dimensional flexibility. The skins are then laminated in a vacuum press to the honeycomb core using aerospace technology, ensuring extreme flatness and greater composite strength. The final result is a panel with greater span capacity and which virtually eliminates the phenomenon of "oil-canning."

In addition to the phenomenal strength of the composite panels, the product is extremely lightweight. In fact, the average Protean composite panel weighs less than 3 pounds per square foot, significantly reducing the size, weight and cost of the supporting structure.

Protean's HC-200 honeycomb systems are designed and installed utilizing our exclusive "caulkless" system. While the system is not without sealants, all of the sealing is concealed at the backside of the system, thus eliminating the typical unsightly, dirty caulk joints required with most wet-set systems or the black gaskets used in other dry-set systems.

The tongue and groove side-joint enables the panel to be installed both horizontally and vertically using concealed fasteners. In fact, when installed in the horizontal position, the joint system creates a "rainscreen" which provides a natural method of shedding water from penetrating the exterior skin of the building.

Our HC-100 honeycomb panels offer the same great flatness criteria as the HC-200 system and depending on the application, can often be installed more economically. The HC-100 panels can be designed and installed onto the structure as a wet-set system or into a glazing system.
