The Emergency Egress Gate (EEG)
The Emergency Egress Gate (EEG) is a manual swing gate which swings open into the platform to provide emergency egress from the train in the event that a train fails to properly align with the PSG. Each EEG has single-point positive latching which is monitored for safety interlocking with the ATC. The EEG will automatically return to the closed & latched position after opening by virtue of a concealed hydraulic closer.
Emergency Egress Gates are panic bar equipped, self closing, fully monitored gates allow safe exit during emergency. Platform side key-lock access for authorized personnel. Single-point latching system which is monitored for positive “Closed and Locked” status.
