Chicago Metallic® Spanfast® Drywall Grid

Introducing the new & improved Rockfon Chicago Metallic® Spanfast® Drywall Grid

Chicago Metallic® Spanfast® Drywall Grid System is available in a heavy-duty design, and is built with HDG 40 steel.

This gypsum panel suspension system is perfect for short spans or crowded plenums where installing hanger wires is challenging and time-consuming. In many cases, it eliminates the need for hanger wires.

The SpanFast™ drywall framing system reduces onsite labor by utilizing a pre-notched drywall ceiling track that securely locks the furring tees in place.

Chicago Metallic™ grid systems are third party certified to meet ASTM standards and are listed with ICCES Evaluation Services, reference report ESR-2631 for further details.

Performance Properties:

  • Heavy duty drywall grid construction increases strength and decreases roll-over during installation.
  • Pre-notched wall track allows for quick drywall grid installation
  • This drywall grid ceiling system either reduces or eliminates the need for hanger wires at spans less than 9ft
  • Sustainable: Minimum 25% recycled content, 100% locally recyclable
  • Chicago Metallic® suspension systems meet a Class-A flame spread rating in accordance with ASTM standard E1264-08
