MCOR 1230 - mCoat IM HT - Industrial Grade Protective Coating
MCOR 1230 (mCoat IM HT) is a high performance coating technology for high temperature applications. The mCoat IM HT is a modified advancement of high functional phenolic novolac with crystalline modifiers and titanium to achieve optimum crosslinking and impressive glass transition points for applied polymers to achieve high heat tolerances. Formulated to coat or line assets exposed to abrasion and corrosives, with specific emphasis in high temperature environments that could reach up to 140 °C (284 °F).
The mCoat IM HT is 100% solid, simple to use, forgiving, and cures to a hardened finish for barrier protection in industrial, high temperature areas. Often sought for internal component coatings of high velocity fluid flow areas, steam areas, or for corrosive storage and transport systems; the coating also is utilized for troughs, vessels, and other structures where harsh attack from heat, abrasion and corrosion often occur.

The volume capacity of a 1 kg of mixed mCoat IM HT is 949 cm3(58 cu.in.).
mCoat IM HT is designed to be applied as a two-coat system. Applied at 410 microns (16 mils) minimum to 635 microns (25 mils) maximum by roller/brush or 1.27 mm (50 mils) maximum by spray, per coat.
mCoat IM HT is a 100% solid coating that will not shrink. 1.89 m2/kg. at 0.5 mm DFT (20 ft2/kg. at 20 mils DFT). Actual coverage will depend on surface conditions, irregularities, and surface profile.

mCoat IM HT offered in a convenient 2:1 mixing ratio (by weight). Easy to mix and apply, with 100% solid formulation, zero VOCs. The material can be sprayed, but also offers provides the applicator simple and safe methods to apply by brush or roller.
Not often is a versatile coating manufactured that can withstand such a wide range of industrial attack. Utilized for a wide range of applications requiring internal protection. Areas which are prone to corrosives, abrasion, and heat allow this material to be stocked for a wide variety of applications. The novolac formulated titanium coating provides what ceramic coatings also offer (high abrasion and wear resistance), but enhanced for higher heat tolerances.
Not only is the mCoat IM HT tolerant to thermal heat and cooling cycles, it is also terrific in steam lines, corrosive acidic or caustic environments, wear areas experiencing friction or abrasion, and for temperatures reaching 140 °C (284 °F). The durable high build coating will effectively protect and last.
