Model PS Point-of-Use Steam Fired Water Heater

The Hubbell PS model is a point-of-use storage water heater that utilizes steam to heat domestic water. Its compact design takes up minimal floor space and eliminates the need to rely on oversized instantaneous heaters or large storage heaters for your low to medium demand hot water requirements. The Hubbell PS model is constructed for demanding commercial and industrial applications by utilizing a heavy duty storage vessel lined with specially formulated Hydrastone cement and copper-silicon threaded tank openings to ensure a long lasting and energy efficient water heater. When you specify and install a Hubbell PS model water heater, you will have confidence in knowing the owner will be provided with a long lasting and trouble-free source for hot water.

Heavy Duty Construction
  • Hydrastone cement lining provides long tank life
  • Copper-silicon alloy tappings cannot rust or corrode
  • High impact composite jacket cannot rust or corrode and minimizes damage during installation and transit
High Efficiency
  • 2" thick polyurethane foam insulation reduces heat loss
  • Copper fin tube heating coil provides highly efficient heat transfer
Packaged System
  • Steam operating controls are factory sized and selected for efficient installation and operation
  • Numerous options available for specialized applications

Optional Equipment
  • Double wall copper fin tube heating coil with leak detection port. Connections are 1/2" MNPT
  • Combination water temperature and pressure gauge installed in tank: 3" Dial, 30-240°F, 0-200 psi
  • Single solenoid safety system closes the steam supply to the heating coil in the event of an over temperature condition (requires 120V, 5 Amp)
  • Double solenoid safety system closes the steam supply to the heating coil and opens the hot water outlet to drain in the event of an over temperature condition (requires 120V, 5 Amp)
  • Electric back-up heating element in various wattages and voltages
  • Alternate temperature controller range
  • Steam pressure reducing valve to limit the steam supply to control valve to specified psi max
  • Intra-tank circulating pump package to circulate water within the tank to reduce stratification
  • Integrally welded seismic attachment points provide side sway support
  • Factory piped controls
  • ASME tank construction

Please note: optional equipment may impact overall dimensions and weight. Please request submittal drawing from factory.
