FOSTER ® JAC-TAC ® ADHESIVE and EDGE SEALER

Foster ® Jac-Tac ® Adhesive is a black, rapid setting resin/polymer emulsion adhesive for use with low density fibrous glass insulation, duct wrap and acoustical linings (up to 3 lbs./c.f.) in air handling systems. It has good wet grab, and can be applied to painted or unpainted steel, galvanized steel or aluminum surfaces.

Jac-Tac Adhesive is formulated for use in duct liner machines, both air atomized spray and roll coater types. It has excellent hot peel strength and high humidity resistance. Once dry and cured, it has outstanding water resistance.

Jac-Tac Adhesive is water-based and non-flammable in the wet state. It meets the requirements of ASTM C916-85, Type II (ASC-A-7001, Type II).

Jac-Tac Adhesive is also used to seal or butter cut edges of duct liner insulation to retard fiber release. It can be applied to edges by brush or spray and it black color matches the original facing surface.

Jac-Tac Adhesive meets NFPA-90A & 90B 25/50 requirements.

Jac-Tac Adhesive meets requirements for LEED IEQ 4.1 Low-Emitting Materials, Adhesives and Sealants. VOC: 6 g/l, less water and exempt solvents.

Jac-Tac Adhesive contains no asbestos, lead, mercury, or mercury compounds.

LIMITATIONS
Store and apply between 40ºF (4ºC) and 100ºF (38ºC), protect from freezing until dry. Always test plastic foam insulation for warpage when using any water-base adhesive. Not suggested for sealing vapor barrier jackets. Overhead applications may require mechanical fasteners.
