Foster® 46-50 WEATHERITE™ Mastic

FOSTER ® WEATHERITETM MASTIC

FOSTER WEATHERITE MASTIC is a fibrated water-based breather mastic. It features a bright white color and extremely smooth, creamy, thixotropic consistency for fast, easy application.

WEATHERITE MASTIC has excellent brush, trowel, and spray properties, is non-flammable when wet, and has a mild odor during application.

WEATHERITE MASTIC forms a tough, fire-resistive dry film that is extremely flexible and provides a smooth, attractive finish on both indoor and outdoor applications. It has excellent adhesion to most foil facings. It may be used over a wide variety of thermal insulations including polystyrene and rigid polyurethane board stock insulations.

WEATHERITE MASTIC complies with current requirements regarding use in meat and poultry processing areas under federal inspection. Letter of certification is available upon request.

WEATHERITE MASTIC is produced under the classification and follow- up service of Underwriter's Laboratories, Inc. and meets NFPA 90A and 90B 25/50 requirements.

WEATHERITE MASTIC meets requirements for LEED ® IEQ 4.2 Low-Emitting Materials, Paints and Coatings. VOC: 47 g/l, less water and exempt solvents.

LIMITATIONS
Store and apply between 40ºF (4ºC) and 100ºF (38ºC), protect from freezing until dry. To resist rain washoff, allow at least 24 hours drying time above 60ºF (16ºC) with a relative humidity of 50%. Higher humidity and/or lower temperatures will retard drying. Always test foil and paper facings for acceptable adhesion before using. Outdoor horizontal surfaces must always drain completely. A pitch of at least 1/2 inch per foot (4cm/m) is required. Always select WEATHERITE Mastic in the white color for use over Polystyrene on outdoor installations. TM TradeMark of H.B.
