FOSTER ® TITE-FIT ™ COATING
Foster ® Tite- FitTM Coating is a flexible, low odor, fire resistive, high solids, vapor barrier finish for most types of rigid thermal insulation, except Polystyrene.
Tite-Fit Coating is formulated for both indoor and outdoor use on commercial type applications. It is a solvent based coating with a mild "paint type" odor, designed for use on pipes, vessels, ducts and equipment operating below ambient temperatures.
Tite-Fit Coating is also used for vapor sealing ASJ, FRK, and FSK jackets and board facings at joints, laps, and over staple and weld pin punctures. It exhibits good adhesion to these jacketing materials when used as a protective coating.
Tite-Fit Coating meets the requirements of Military Specification MIL-PRF-19565C, Type II.
Tite-Fit Coating is produced under the Classification and Follow-up Service of Underwriter's Laboratories, Inc.
Tite-Fit Coating meets NFPA 90A and 90B 25/50 requirements.
Tite-Fit Coating contains no asbestos, lead, mercury, or mercury compounds.
Store and apply between 40°F (4°C) and 100°F (38°C). For best results, select Elastolar 95-44 for insulation joint sealing under TITE-FIT Coating. The solvent odor in this product may take several days to dissipate. When working in occupied or confined areas, the use of 30-80 or 30-90, water based products, is recommended. Always test plastic materials for compatibility when using a solvent based product. Make certain this product is completely dry and the area free from solvent odor if food is involved. Outdoor horizontal surfaces must always drain completely. A pitch of at least 1/2 inch per foot (4 cm/m) is required. After long term outdoor exposure 30-35 may weather to an off-white or buff color.
