7500 Series - Medium-Duty Floor Access Covers

The class-leading Howe Green 7500 Series Medium-Duty Floor Access Covers are suitable for all use with all types of hard floor finishes to enable permanent, safe access to services concealed underneath.

The Howe Green 7500 Series is available in single, duct or multipart configurations for use in areas interior or exterior with up to 5 tonne pneumatic tyre wheel load (cars and light delivery vehicles). Manufactured in the UK and fire rated to BS 476 - Part 22, all covers are made to your exact specification with no time or cost constraint.

Provides easy access to underfloor services using lifting keys.

Any configuration of ducts and branches can be created to provide a tailor-made floor access solution for your application.

Fire rated to BS 476 - Part 22 for both aluminium and stainless steel covers. Fire rated for 2 hours on integrity, and up to 1 hour on insulation depending on the floor access cover fill specification.

Double sealed option provides the highest levels of hygiene and security.

All types of hard floor finish - ceramic tiles, marble, terrazzo, concrete, resin, wood or parquet floors.

Medium-duty, suitable for up to 5 tonne pneumatic tyre wheel load - cars and light delivery vehicles.

The 7500 Series is tested and fire rated to BS 476 - Part 22 for 2 hours on integrity in the case of a fire. This specification is for the use of the cover in a dead load environment only. If any permanent loads are applied this will invalidate the fire rating.

Aluminium Covers

SINGLE: maximum size 1020 mm x 1020 mm, clear opening 900 mm x 900 mm

DUCT: maximum width 1020 mm, clear opening 900 mm with an unlimited duct run length

MULTIPART: maximum size 4m x 3m overall

• With full C40 concrete infill: fire rated for 2 hours on integrity and 1 hour for insulation
• With stone, tile or other non-combustible surface finish: fire rated for 2 hours on integrity only

Stainless Steel Covers

SINGLE: maximum size 1030 mm x 1030 mm, clear opening 900 mm x 900 mm

DUCT: maximum width 1030 mm, clear opening 900 mm with an unlimited duct run length

MULTIPART: maximum size 4m x 3m overall

• With full C40 concrete infill: fire rated for 2 hours on integrity and 1 hour for insulation
• With stone, tile or other non-combustible surface finish: fire rated for 2 hours on integrity only

The 7500 Series is a popular choice for commercial and retail premises where a heavier loading or larger sized cover may be required.

It is suitable for supermarkets, indoor shopping centres, sports and athletics centres, car showrooms where a medium-duty, tamper-resistant access cover is required to enable maintenance personnel easy access to mechanical equipment and underfloor-based building services.

Stainless Steel covers are suitable for external heavily trafficked paved areas such as railway stations and airport terminals where a larger size may be required to cover access to drainage or a thicker, non-wearing flooring option has been specified.
