Galaxy Stone - Banded TaconiteBanded Taconite is the by product of millions of years of built up sedimentary minerals. The sediments settled into bands that would eventually take on the colors of the various minerals flowing through them, then gradually being compressed by the same glaciers that created the Great Lakes.
