All of our designs can be custom modified to meet your design requirements. Although Red Oak has been the traditional choice for courtroom furniture because of its natural beauty, strength and durability, other hardwoods can be used such as: Maple, Cherry, Mahogany, Birch, along with many others. All benches come with many standard features including solid oak end and center supports and a choice of solid oak ends. All benches with upholstery have been engineered with removable seats and backs for easy future reupholstering. All Ratigan-Schottler standard bench bodies are available in a radius construction. Other radius bench suppliers produce their radius benches using thin oak veneers laminated to a scored particleboard or scored plywood core. Ratigan-Schottler provides an alternative to veneer radius benches with our exclusive solid oak radius bench construction techniques. Only the finest hardwoods are used in our radius benches. Ratigan-Schottler produces a wide range of standard solid oak bench bodies. If you’re not successful in finding what you are looking for in our catalog, or have a custom design in mind, we are experts in producing custom benches from simple to complex. Ratigan-Schottler provides an exceptional selection of beautiful solid oak bench ends. All ends are constructed out of the finest Northern grown solid Red Oak available. Any end can be modified to meet your design requirements. All ends can be used on any bench body. Because all of our ends are constructed out of solid oak, special symbols can be routed into the bench end. Decorative shaper cuts, which are cut onto the outside or inside perimeter of the bench end are available and recommended not only to provide a nice finished touch but also to protect the edge of the bench ends. We will work with you to provide the exact design you are looking for. Ratigan-Schottler also provides a large selection of colonial bench ends in a choice of painted or stained finish. White painted ends are constructed using either solid Poplar or Birch. All ends come standard with a solid oak base and cap. We use no medium density fiberboard in our painted colonial ends. Stained colonial ends are constructed out of solid oak. 
Ratigan-Schottler’s designers and craftsmen have unlimited abilities to custom design and build your bench ends. We can also duplicate any existing bench end or bench body. Fabric Choices: All Ratigan-Schottler fabrics have been hand selected to follow our strict requirements for courtroom seating. Fabrics are all commercial grade and are protected with stain protectant. Hundreds of colors and weaves are available. Customer’s Own Material (C.O.M.) can be used providing it meets our requirements. Finish Color: Ratigan-Schottler has a large selection of standard stain colors and will custom match to any stain color at no additional cost. Wood finish samples are provided to you for selecting a finish color. If required, Ratigan-Schottler will also provide additional samples for use by other trades. Delivery: Normal lead time is 90 to 120 days after receipt of signed contract and advance payment. Highly customized, complex projects may require additional lead time. All installations are completed with Ratigan-Schottler personnel. Warranty: Ratigan-Schottler’s products are fully covered with a written warranty. At the end of the installation, the court is provided with a copy of the written warranty along with a touch up kit complete with materials and instructions for the care and maintenance of your furniture.
