Product Presentation ADVANTA™ Shingle is designed to function as an alternative to traditional asphalt shingles. Weighing less than a pound per square foot, the shingle is well suited for new construction or re-roof applications. Sizes and Profiles: ADVANTA Shingles measure 14" x 36 ½", with a 3 square-foot coverage area. The panel configuration provides the appearance of dimensional shingles, but it covers twice the area per panel than traditional shingles. Only 34 panels are required to cover 100 square feet of roof area or one square. Composition and Materials: Shingles are stamped from 29 gauge Metallic Coated steel. Color and Finish: ADVANTA Shingle is textured with an embossed pattern and available in ten (10) standard colors: Mission Red, Slate Grey, Brite Red, Rocky Gray, Forest Green, Char Brown, Redwood, Sierra Tan, Bone White and Coppertone, as well as six (6) designer colors known as the Americana Series. The Americana Series utilizes state-of-the-art print coat technology to create six new shades: Kodiak Island Brown, Mojave Desert Tan, Smokey Mountain Grey, Cap Cod Grey, Carolina Pine Green and Grand Canyon Red. The paint system is a high performance, Kynar 500®
or Hylar 5000® finish that provides maximum protection from
the suns harsh UV rays and is non-staining.

Fastened to a solid deck with five ring shank roofing nails, the panels four-way interlock design guards against wind driven rain and prevents wind uplift. Pre-punched nailing holes are provided to ensure proper fastening of the shingle. Fasteners are covered by the next tier of shingles. Recommended minimum slope is 3 in 12. Installation manuals detailing the application of valley, ridge and trim assemblies are available, as well as hands-on training seminars. Maintenance ADVANTA Shingle is virtually maintenance free and non-staining. If cleaning is required, surface residue is easily removed by conventional cleaning methods. Minor scratches may be touched up with matching manufacturer-supplied paint. Technical Services Complete technical information and literature is available from ATAS International, Inc.
