ROOF HATCHES, GALVANIZED AND ALUMINUM

The Model RHG Series roof hatches provide for normal ladder, steep ladder and stair access to roof from interior of the building. Manufactured from galvanized steel with weather resistant gasketing, these units feature long life, low maintenance and ease of operation. JL offers fully welded, mitered corners and box type door design. Units install easily over roof opening and are secured from base flange to roof deck. Model RHA Series aluminum roof hatches are manufactured to the same standards as model RHG. New Security Option Available: Pre-installed security alarm switch.

The galvanized steel STH Rail Meets OSHA-required compliance for safe egress and ingress through rooftop hatch openings while hatch is in use. Installs by a clamping frame around curb base of roof hatch or fire hatch. Fits all brands of existing roof hatches with cap flashing – field adjustable to fit flashing size.

JL Industries models UFV and FFV fire vents have been tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories (model UFV) and Factory Mutual Research Corp (model FFV). These vents are equipped with a UL Listed 165°F fusible link for automatic operation. While the torsion springs drive open the cover automatically, shock absorbers control the speed of the operation. The automatic device can be quickly and easily reset and a new fusible link inserted. Model UFV and FFV fire vents have a galvanized steel curb and curb frame, fully welded and insulated for weather tightness. The insulated Aluminum covers are equipped with heavy-gauge aluminum hinges. Higher temperature UL Listed fusible links are available upon request.

Model FDFV double leaf domed fire vent is tested and approved by Factory Mutual Research Corp. The vents are equipped with a 165° fusible link for automatic operation. Torsion springs drive open the covers automatically while a shock absorber controls the speed of the operation. The curb is manufactured from galvanized steel with an aluminum cover. The dome frame is aluminum with a condensation gutter and gasketing to provide weather tightness. Each leaf consists of a one-piece acrylic dome, available in either white translucent or clear. Higher temperature fusible links are available upon request

JL Industries has equipment hatches to meet your requirements for large, unobstructed roof access. Equipment hatches are available with galvanized steel (model EHG) or aluminum (model EHA) curb and curb frames. The insulated lid is attached by heavy-duty galvanized hinges. Hardware consists of two-point universal spring latch, inside-outside handle with padlock provision, adjustable torsion springs, automatic hold open and operating arms with red vinyl grip. Optional skylight dome cover (model DEH) also available. The cover includes an aluminum skylight frame with the option of clear or white translucent domes. Equipment hatches are available in standard sizes upto 12' x 12' with custom sizes available upon request.

We have two models of safety posts that provide safe and convenient method of climbing off and onto fixed access ladders. The LP-4, LP-5 and LP-6 meet ANSI A14.3 and OSHA requirements.

The LP-4 attaches to the top 2 rungs of the roof access ladder. The spring counter weighted post slides up in a retainer allowing the operator to step on or off the ladder in a safe standing position while holding onto the post. The LP-4 is powder-coated with safety yellow paint. The LP-5 is the galvanized finish version of the LP-4.

This new, patented safety post mounts to the front inside of the curb. The 36" post pivots on a bolt and is stored flush with and under the roof hatch. The post is easily pivoted to an upright position by the operator, locking into place, allowing the operator to step on or off the ladder in a safe standing position while holding onto the post. The LP-6 is for roof hatches with a 36" or greater opening.
