Pemko offers numerous perimeter gasketing options, including rigid jamb, adjustable jamb, adhesive jamb, kerf-in, interlock and cushion/spring weatherstripping. All types are available in a range of sizes to fit virtually any gasketing need. Pemko utilizes a number of inserts including: silicone, PemkoPrene™, vinyl, kerf-in foam, sponge neoprene, sponge silicone, neoprene, pile, felt, and nylon brush.
Most perimeter seals/gasketing used on the head and side jambs of doors operate on the same basic principle and are installed similarly. An extruded aluminum section containing a strip of vinyl, pile, neoprene, silicone, polyurethane, polyprene or nylon brush is attached to the door stop. When the door is closed, the gasketing makes contact with the face of the door, creating a seal.
Pemko’s rigid jamb weatherstrip products are generally shown mounted on openings with 1/16" gaps; however, each weatherstrip can seal gaps up to the depth of its seal. Products are punched on 6" centers with slotted holes for adjustment and stainless steel fasteners are standard on all except 292 and 299 (other fasteners are available).
Pemko has expanded its offering of heavy duty rigid jamb weatherstripping. The 2891APK, 2891AS, 2891AV, 2892AV and 2893AV have been added for the head section of the frame where a parallel arm closer bracket or other hardware is required. This head member will be supplied undrilled, but still supplied with flat head machine screws for mounting. Pemko will drill the head member only if drilling instructions for countersink holes are provided. The aluminum retainer is the same for all of these products with five different sealing options.
Pemko’s New low-profile snap cover conceals mounting screws to provide security and a clean aesthetic appearance. All clear anodized brush products are supplied with gray brush (available with black brush upon request).
Designed to be butt up against blade stop or existing aluminum frame to create a new perimeter seal for the door. Aluminum snap cover conceals fasteners while adding extra security. Longer brush lengths are available upon request. Please specify the length of brush required. A modest charge may be added to the list price to cover the additional cost of the longer brush. The NEW 29366CNB is for use in retrofit applications.
