Schindler's pioneering destination dispatch technology brings people to their destinations faster than any other elevator control. By grouping people traveling to the same floor, Miconic 10 reduces the number of intermediate stops and thereby improves the elevator system efficiency. Proven in over 3,000 installations worldwide, with Miconic 10, the future is here.
With any conventional control, passengers can only tell the elevator system that they want to travel either 'Up' or 'Down'. Likewise, everyone tries to get into the first car that arrives, often causing overcrowding, then scrambling to push the buttons once inside the car. As a result, the car will probably stop at every floor on the way up.
- You can register your destination even before you reach the elevator lobby. The system tells you immediately which car to go to.
- It groups passengers together by destination to minimize the number of stops.
- It makes sure that cars can't become overcrowded.
Your destination floor is confirmed to you.
- You don't need to press any more buttons (special service buttons are, of course, provided).
- You receive confirmation of your destination floor upon arrival
The Miconic 10® system is particularly suited for people with special needs or those confined to a wheelchair, and can be specified to meet or exceed the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For more information please visit Schindlers website at www.us.schindler.com
Schindler ID® is the next generation of elevator technology. When used in conjunction with Schindler Miconic 10® , Schindler ID allows previously unattainable passenger service to be provided, since it knows each passengers exact requirements.
With Schindler ID® , the building is divided into zones with well-defined access restrictions. The building manager configures the access zones on site by means of the Schindler ID software on a central station. The access restrictions are defined by individual rights, authorizations, and requirements.
Passengers identify themselves with a badge, PIN code, or other electronically readable device such as a key tag that has their details programmed on it. Schindler ID can then assign an elevator car that conforms to their needs and will take them to their destination as soon as possible.
Schindler ID can provide multiple levels of access, from simple access control to highly restricted use all re-configurable by our customer at any time.
Passengers are identified by their identification medium or personal PIN code at a Schindler ID® terminal in front of the elevator or anywhere close to it.
Schindler ID checks the passenger's access rights and assigns a car (A, B, C,
) to the passenger. In doing so, Schindler ID takes account of the following criteria:
- Overall traffic capacity
- Individual traveling time
- Attributes such as space required, handicapped passengers, traveling preferences.
The passenger walks directly to the assigned car and will be transported to the desired destination without any need for further interaction.
The Schindler ID® system even allows visitors direct phone access to any building tenant, who can then send an elevator to collect the passenger and travel directly to the assigned floor. An automatic car call is then sent to the elevator system for transport to the tenant's location.
- Visitors look up residents in a building on an interactive touch screen.
- Telephone contact can be established and access means unlocked by the resident.
An automatic car call is then sent to the elevator system for transport to the residents location.
The interactive touch screen helps visitors to find their destination. Users configure their tags according to their personal preferences.
