COLUMN TIES – GROUT SCREEN – MORTAR NET

#359 & #359-C – Weld-On Ties
  • Mill galv./hot galv./stainless steel.
  • #359 – 1/4 in. dia. x 9 in. long.
  • #359-C is a continuous 8 ft. length with offsets 16 in. o.c.

Use in conjunction with Vee Wall Tie #VWT or Column Web Tie #301W. The systems anchor masonry to the structural frame allowing differential movement without any transfer of stresses.

#359FP & #359FP-C Weld-On Ties
  • Plain/hot dip galv./stainless steel.
  • #359FP – 3/8 in. dia. x 9 in. long.
  • #359FP-C is a continuous 8 ft. length 3/8 in. dia. with offsets 16 in. o.c.
  • Backplates (supplied loose) restrain compressive loads.

For use when there is a requirement for spray-on fireproofing. Exaggerated offset dimension 'L' (specify when ordering) allows for projection beyond fireproofing for visibility and accessibility to the mason.

#359F Series – Anchor Straps
  • #359F – Mill galv./hot dip galv./stainless steel – 3/4 in. wide x 12 ga. thick x 7 in. long, giving 4 in. of vertical adjustability.
  • #359FH – Same availability as above but with 1/4 in. holes as shown.
  • #359F-C Same availability as #359F but comes in continuous lengths of 8 ft. or 10 ft. (offsets are 16 in. o.c.)
  • #359FH-C – Same as #359F-C but with 1/4 in. holes as shown.

# MGS – Mortar/Grout Screen
  • Isolates flow of grout in designated areas requiring reinforced concrete block.
  • Allows for greater bonding of masonry anchor in hollow block construction.
  • 1/4 in. square monofilament screen is fabricated from high strength, non-corrosive polypropylene polymers.
  • Micro-thin material has high tensile and burst strength, yet will not interfere with mortar bond
  • Standard widths 4 in., 6 in. & 10 in. x 100 ft. roll.
# Mortar Net™

The Mortar Net™ is manufactured of high density polyethylene (HDPE) or nylon strands woven into a 90% open mesh. It will not react with common building products, including PVC, polystyrenes, copper, rubberized asphalt, lead, stainless steel or galvanized metal. It will not absorb or trap moisture, will not support mold or fungus and is inedible by insects. It will not degrade as a result of temperature variations and is designed to last for the life of the building.

  • Catches and permanently suspends mortar droppings in masonry cavity walls above the level of the flashing and weeps so blockage of weep hole vents can't occur. Weep holes stay open.
  • Unique patented dovetail shape breaks up mortar droppings, prevents mortar damming, so water always has open flow paths to weeps.
  • 90% open plastic mesh construction allows unobstructed passage of air & water through the material itself so walls breathe, drain & dry quicker.
