LOX ALL® ADJUSTABLE WALL REINFORCEMENT SYSTEMS

HB Adjusto-Flex-Mesh

Adjusto-Flex-Mesh is a prefabricated anchoring and reinforcing assembly which simultaneously reinforces the inner wythe of a masonry wall while providing an adjustable connection with the masonry facing outer wythe. The outer facing wythe is free to move vertically and horizontally in its own plane, but movement from positive and negative wind loads is prevented.

The four inch vertical loop of the Adjusto-Flex system permits anchoring of the different components of a composite wall where horizontal mortar joints do not align. It also allows the back-up masonry to be completely erected independently of the facing. The facing can then be installed at a more suitable time of the construction schedule.

Short Specification

Where horizontal mortar joints do not align in composite, cavity or insulated walls or when interior wythe is to be constructed before exterior wythe, reinforcement shall be (truss or ladder type) ADJUSTO-FLEX-MESH (Model #AF-V or #AF-H), as manufactured by HOHMANN & BARNARD, INC., Hauppauge, NY or approved equal.

H & B recommends Type 304 or Type 316 stainless steel for maximum protection against corrosion.

NOW . . . Reinforce outer wythe with the Seismiclip® Interlock System

Features

  1. Reinforce outer wythe of wall while retaining all the advantages of adjustable reinforcement systems. Allows in-plane vertical and horizontal movement while restraining in and out movement.
  2. Economical. Add the Seismiclip® and Continuous Wire to standard adjustable systems at little additional cost.
  3. Functional in aligned or non-aligned bed joints.
  4. Beneficial for seismic zone construction.

The Seismiclip® will accept standard H & B Wire Ties and Continuous Wire as shown.
Horizontal Joint Reinforcement Wire and Masonry Tie are snapped into the Seismiclip® and fully surrounded by mortar. This allows all components to function integrally as a single unit.
