THE MORTAR NET® AND GROUT STOP®

The Mortar Net Patent #5,230,189

Placed on top of flashing inside cavity, where it catches and suspends mortar droppings above level of weep holes and flashings. Dovetail shape prevents mortar droppings from forming a continuous dam. Shape of material, in combination with 90% open plastic mesh configuration, allows water and air to move rapidly and easily through material to the weeps.

Constructed of 10" high density polyethylene. Available in 5 foot lengths and packed 50 pieces per bundle. Thicknesses are 1", .8", and .4". Sold in full cartons of 250 linear feet per carton. Labor friendly. E-mail for test results.

Mortar Net 2"™

Mortar Net also offers a 2" thickness with higher density than 1" Mortar Net. It is manufactured of 200 Denier 100% recycled polyester, including up to 50% post consumer content. It will not react with common building materials, including mortars, PVC, Polyethylene, Polystyrenes, copper, lead, rubberized asphalt, or stainless steel. It will not absorb or trap water, support molds or fungus, and is not edible by insects. Mortar Net 2" is designed to lay for the life of the building.

For cavities larger than 2-1/4", rigid insulation of appropriate thickness extending at least 6" above the top of the Mortar Net 2" may be placed against the outside of the inner wall as a spacer to position the product against the inside of the outer wythe. Mortar Net 2" is compressible horizontally and can be used in cavities from 1-5/8" wide to 2-1/4" wide. All sizes of Mortar Net are equally effective in masonry, steel, and wood stud cavity walls.

Grout Stop

Designed to prevent grout from falling through block core while maintaining positive bond in mortar joint.

Constructed of strong, non-corrosive 1/4" square polypropylene monofilament screening. Available in 2", 4", 6", 8" and 10" widths.

Provides improved bonding of masonry anchor in hollow block construction.

Available in 100 foot rolls. Sold individually or 50 per case.
