CEILING AND WALL DIFFUSERS/REFLECTORS: OVATION CEILING REFLECTOR PANELS Description: Designed for large spaces requiring improved sound directivity, strength, and timing of reflections from the ceiling area, this product is perfect for auditoriums, lecture halls, and performing arts centers. Composition: The Ovation Reflector Panel is constructed of a ½” plywood core that is finished with a fiber reinforced gel coat, glossy or matte finish. Steel framing is attached to the back of the panel with attachment points for hanging and bowing during field installation. Applications: The Ovation Reflector Panel is most commonly required in large auditoriums for the enhancement of theatrical, concert, or public speaking acoustics. Sound Reflectivity: The panels weigh a nominal 2.5 PSF and the bowed design reflects most audible sound frequencies in a diffusive pattern. Optional sound absorptive material can be used on the top (unexposed) side. Panel Sizes: The Ovation Reflector Panel is available in sizes up to 10’ x 20’. Typical panel radius is 20 to 25 feet. Since larger panel surfaces reflect lower frequency sound waves better than small panels, we recommend a minimum 8 ft. x 8 ft reflector size for music venues. The coverage area is typically 50% to 70% of the ceiling. Finish: Ovation Reflector Panels are available in a glossy or matte gel coat finish. Optional woodgrain laminate or hardwood veneer is also available. Surface Burning Characteristics: The Ovation Reflector Panel provides a Class C rating according to ASTM E84 testing procedures. Mounting: To be mounted following manufacturer’s recommendations. GEOMETRIC CEILING and WALL DIFFUSERS Description: Kinetics Geometric Sound Diffusers improve room acoustics through random disbursement of sound reflections throughout the listening space. The shaped surfaces of the Diffusers create a clearer and more consistent listening environment for music educators, performers, and the audience. Geometric Diffusers are commonly used in conjunction with Kinetics acoustical panels. The combination of sound diffusion and absorption greatly improves the room acoustics. Composition: All Geometric Diffusers are made of thermo-molded plastic. Applications: Ideal for instrumental and choral rehearsal spaces to provide more consistent sound levels across a wide frequency range. Auditoriums will benefit with the use of Diffusers on the rear and side walls. Kinetics’ Diffusers are also used in lay-in 15/16” standard grid ceilings. Diffuser Sizes: Geometric Diffusers are .125 inches thick. The Radius Diffuser is available in the following sizes; 24” x 24”, 36” x 36”, 24” x 48”, 48” x 48”, 36” x 48”, 36” x 72”, and 48” x 72”.
