This unit is most commonly installed in the corridor outside the operating room with remote receptacles inside the operating room. In this case, a remote annunciator must be installed inside the room in accordance with the NEC. Although the IDP is most often used to deliver 120 volt service to receptacles in the operating room, it is recommended in all flammable anesthesia and "wet" locations, and any area where the interruption of power cannot be tolerated. Model IDC: Description The IDC Isolated Power Center provides receptacles and ground jacks for intensive care and coronary care units. This panel is also used in cardiac catheterization labs, emergency rooms, critical care and recovery areas, in addition to anesthetizing locations. The IDC contains all the basic elements of an isolated power system—shielded isolation transformer, line isolation monitor, circuit breaker panel and ground bus. It also includes a maximum of six to eight 120 volt, UL listed twist-lock, duplex or parallel blade receptacles and up to seven ground jacks for additional grounding points. This depends on the KVA size of the panel. The IDC can feed remote, and panel-mounted receptacles. Model DIDP - Duplex: Description The DIDP Duplex Isolated Power Panel contains two separate isolated power systems in one enclosure. A divider from top to bottom separates each system from each other. Both systems contain the basic elements of an isolated power system—shielded isolation transformer, line isolation monitor, circuit breaker panel and ground bus. The DIDP can be mounted inside or outside of the operating room. If it is mounted outside of the operating room a remote annunciator must be mounted inside the room in accordance with the NEC. The DIDP is most often used to supply Emergency and Normal power to the 120 volt service to receptacles in the operating room. The size of each transformer and number of branch breakers can be specified per each hospital's application. Another use of the DIDP can be for 120 volt system and 208, 220 or 240 volt system. Model XTLD - Dual Voltage: Description The XTLD, Dual Voltage Isolated Power Panel, is a single panel with one transformer and two different ungrounded output voltages. Each secondary winding will have it's own load center and Line Isolation Monitor. Typical secondary voltages are 120/208 volts but other voltages are available, 120/240, 110/220, 120/120. This panel is designed to supply ungrounded power for one operating room. It can be mounted inside or outside the room. When mounted outside the room, two remote annunciators will be required inside the room. The 208 volt circuits are used to power laser, x-ray or where 208 volt ungrounded power is required. The 120 volt circuits are used to power 120 volt appliances found inside the operating room. It is not recommended to put the overhead fluorescent lights on this panel due to the high leakage of the ballast. Overhead lights should be on grounded power. The Dual Voltage Isolated Power Panel is factory equipped with up to 16 each two-pole branch circuit breakers for the 120 volt winding and two each two-pole branch circuit breakers for the 208 volt winding. Receptacles can be mounted on the front but remote mounting is recommended for location convenience. Six each 120 volt duplex, six ground jacks and two each 208 volt receptacles are the maximum that can be mounted on the front of the panel. If two 120 volt panel boards are required, no receptacles can be on the front. The KVA of the transformer is determined by adding the KVA of the 120 volt winding "A" and the KVA of the 208 volt winding "B". The combined KVA is the KVA size of the transformer. The maximum total KVA is 25 KVA per UL. Specify the KVA of "A" and "B" windings. Example: if 15 KVA will be required for 208 volt winding and 10 KVA for the 120 volt winding, the overall size is 25 KVA. If 10 KVA is required for both then the size of the transformer is 20 KVA. All transformers are single phase only. Surgical Facility Panels The PG LIFELINK Surgical Facility Panel is a multi-functional panel that incorporates many of the standard facilities required in an operating room. Laser and X-ray Isolated Power Systems With laser procedures increasing significantly at most hospitals, PG LIFELINK has developed an unprecedented isolated power system to meet ever-growing power requirements, eliminate scheduling difficulties, and above all, ensure safety. Most existing power supplies, designed to lock out other outlets until procedures are complete, cannot handle the growing power demands required by laser procedures. These older units can also be accidentally turned off before a procedure is finished. A specially designed power supply, available from PG LIFELINK solves these problems and more. Power is controlled through a series of mercury contactors activated by the PG LIFELINK Model ALO-RS Laser Module or the AXO-RS X-ray Module. The new Plug Control Style Power Panel with its unique features can be energized in the operating room simply by opening the door over the receptacle. The machine is then "locked on" until someone inside the operating room unplugs it. This feature eliminates accidental shutdowns caused by someone outside the operating room. And only the circuits in those rooms that are activated contribute to the system's leakage, helping reduce "nuisance" alarms. With this system, power is selectively provided to the location where needed. If there are multiple laser machines, additional circuits can be energized through the corresponding ALO-RS unit for that circuit. The panel can serve up to 12 locations without lockout or with the lockout feature. The Plug Control Style Laser Panel with lockout can also limit the number of energized outlets, allowing the hospital to control the number of laser procedures performed at any one time. The maximum number of energized outlets are field adjustable from one to four. The transformer is sized to handle the load. Specify NEMA configuration of the receptacle required. Line Isolation Monitors Stop Nuisance Alarms in Your Operating Rooms! Do the LIMs in your operating rooms meet current NEC and NFPA requirements? Do your operating rooms have earlier style 2 Ma LIMs or even ground detectors? Are you having trouble finding replacement parts for your old LIMs? The Mark IV Line Isolation Monitor (LIM) represented a giant leap for the isolated power industry. Powered by a microprocessor chip, it allows for a number of improved performance features, ensures detailed accuracy, and provides your operating rooms with a reliable power monitoring system. The New Mark V Line Isolation Monitor (LIM) is a major technological breakthrough. With it's improved functionality, including the on-board status display and PC interface, the Mark V is the most flexible LIM on the market today. LIM Retrofit Kits We've Got You Covered.
