Arbors

Arbor is an horticultural term used to describe regular intervals in the planting of trees. In this case, we use the terms to describe open-slatted structures that simulate the partial coverage provided by trees. Arbors by ICON are attractive without foliage, but are capable of handling the load produced by live creeping plants such as wisteria.

Arbors are available curved and straight, with columns front and back, or cantilevered.

Curved Arbors

Cantilevered Curved Arbors

Curved Arbors and Cantilevered Curved Arbors are designed in circles or arc segments, generally surrounding a central courtyard. When specifying a curved arbor, please provide the dimensions shown below.

Straight Arbors

Cantilevered Straight Arbors

Straight arbor widths and lengths are per your design. The maximum bay spacing is 20'-0". Specify the width between column centers, the slat overhang beyond the support beams, style and size of slats, and the height below the support beam. Use Straight Arbors to cover a garden planting, walkway or sitting area.

When specifying a straight arbor, please provide the column layout dimensions, total length of the arbor, and the length, spacing and type of slat, shown below.
