Among the reasons today’s Helo heaters can deliver a better heat with greater efficiency is our larger rock capacity with more of the rocks in direct contact with the heating elements. More rocks means a softer, more gentle heat and the ability to create soft, comfortable steam.

The worldwide trend in sauna bathing is lower temperatures and higher humidity. With Helo’s sauna heater designs, the ultimate sauna bath is created: even-tempered soft heat rising from the rocks, accompanied with soft steam created by sprinkling water on the rocks. The user creates the environment he or she prefers — whether it be hot and dry, or lower temperatures with more humidity.

The Steamy Heater Series

Octa Heater Series
Model: Octa (10.5, 12.0, and 14.4 kW)
Helo’s new eight sided, floor-standing heater brings outstanding design and superb performance to larger saunas. Finished on all sides, the heater can be placed in the middle of a sauna, in a corner, or mid-wall. Its 132 pound rock capacity provides soft heat, soft steam and extremely uniform temperatures. Available in 10.5, 12.0 and 14.4 kW. Floor standing. Use with separate control HSC Series and with separate contactor box.

Helo controls offer today’s best technology

Offering both mechanical and programmable/digital technology, Helo controls are state-of-the-art, reliable and very friendly to the user. Whether built into the heater or wall-mounted, Helo controls are compact and attractive.

All Helo heaters and controls are UL listed and now carry the ISO 9001 certificate of quality assurance. For years, this certification has been the international symbol of quality assurance in Europe. Now it has come to be similarly recognized in North America.

Digi II Control

The Digi-II can be surface mounted or flush mounted. Features include: light switch, ventilation fan switch, clock, set operating time and time remaining, set temperature and actual temperature, and 24-hour programmability. The control has four “user memory buttons” for easy return to past user settings. Unique to the Digi-II is the “Saunasmart” function — a feature where the control remembers the amount of time needed to reach a desired set temperature (when in delayed start mode). When flush mounted, the control is 6"H x 5"W x 1/4"D. When surface mounted the control is 1"D. No separate contactor box is needed. For use with SO-D (digital) heaters.

Steamy Control
Designed for safety and convenience, the Steamy control is used only with the Steamy heater. The control panel includes: timer, thermostat with sensing probe, light switch, and three knobs for selecting “traditional sauna”; “soft sauna” with lower temperature; “steamy” with sauna heater and steam generator activated. Surface mounted; 95/8"W x 8"H x 3"D.

ME-1T Control
Control contains on/off switch for sauna light, 1-hr. timer with 9-hour pre-set, calibrated thermostat with sensor, and indicator light. Surface mounted, 85/8"H x 95/8"W x 4"D. For use with SO-BE series heaters.

MB1T Control
Control includes 60-minute timer, light switch, and thermostat. Recessed/flush mounted. Rough-in size: 63/4"H x 83/4"W x 33/4"D. For use with SO-BE series heaters.

MB1LT Control
Same as MB1T but without internal contactor. For use with SO-BE series heaters. Used only for heaters 6 kW and less.

HSC-9 Control
Sleek, flush mounted design with satin stainless steel face plate. Control has 60 minute timer with nine hour time delay (“9 + 1”), thermostat, light switch and indicator light. For use with Helo floor standing heaters. 41/2"W x 10"H x 3/16"D. Separate contactor box needed.

HSC-60 Control
Nearly identical to the HSC-9 control except there is no nine hour time delay feature (standard 60 minute timer).

HSC-Club Control
Similar to the HSC-9 control except in place of the timer is an on/off switch for continuous use. To be used only in commercial saunas having an attendant on duty.
