Insulated Fire Doors equipped with UL listed and tested perimeter smoke seals that are UL labeled for proven smoke and draft control per UL 1784. These units carry two labels, one for fire protection and one for smoke and draft control.
SmokeShield Firemiser Door Labeling:
4 HR, 3 HR, 11/2 HR, 1 HR and 3/4 HR Underwriters' Laboratory (UL) labels
Applications: Fire wall openings where the door is to be closed regularly, a sound attenuation need exists, and where life safety is a priority. Buildings designed for future expansion where the current exterior wall openings are to become interior fire wall openings, especially with significant material inventories. Interior fire wall openings where the door will be normally closed to control varying climatic conditions between two areas that would also benefit from controlling smoke damage as well as fire.
Size Range: Openings up to 30' W, 22' H – Consult factory for units over 270 sq. ft. Masonry or steel wall construction.
Curtain Materials and Finishes:
- Galvanized steel with exclusive GalvaNex™ finish in light gray.
- GalvaNex™ with optional SpectraShield® powder coating.
- 300 series stainless steel with #4 finish.
Operation: M100 FireGard Motor, Chain or Crank Systems recommended for ease of testing and controlled automatic closing speeds.
