![]() ![]() All INPACT exit devices are as durable as they are beautiful. The heavy-duty construction, simple mechanical design and Von Duprin's legendary commitment to quality combine to ensure a long, trouble-free service life. Recessed in the door, INPACT maintains a low-profile with sloped end caps that deflect objects away from the door and closer to being totally flush with the door when depressed. Making it the perfect application for healthcare facilities, universities and other high-profile buildings. Devices are UL/cUL listed Panic Hardware (FVSR) SA163. Fire devices (F) are UL/cUL listed Fire Exit Hardware (GXHX) R4504, A label. Tested in accordance to ANSI A156.3, Grade 1. Series 94 Exit devices feature smooth surfaces. Series 95 exit devices feature grooved extruded surfaces. FeaturesDesign The shock-absorbing extruded aluminum push pad is designed to take the wear and tear of even the most demanding high-traffic areas, while its beautiful design provides a comfortable, user-friendly shape. The nonhanded design simplifies installation and gives superior flexibility in the field. Horizontal motion eliminates pinch points. Sloped and sturdy die-cast metal endcaps are designed to survive the heaviest impact and deflect carts, protecting the device and the door. ConstructionLatchbolts have a self-lubricating coating to reduce friction and wear. Compression springs are used throughout. Zinc dichromate coating on internal parts prevent corrosion. Concealed studs and through-bolts, fasten the heavy-duty outside trim. Lever trim is cast brass with a minimum average thickness on the escutcheon of 3/4". Factory door prep makes installation simple and fast. Durability and Reliable OperationDevices are tested in accordance to ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 by a BHMA certified testing laboratory. Each device has exceeded one million cycles. Strike and FastenersDevice is furnished with standard 338 and 385A strikes. A combination of fasteners is included for surface mounting to the recessed door prep and through bolting to trim. Options and AccessoriesElectric Latch The EL feature allows for the remote unlatching of the exit device. A control station operator can flip a switch to retract the latchbolt and immediately access. EL device is useful with automatic door operators, and may be applied to fire-rated devices when under the control of an automatic fire alarm system. UL/cUL approved for Class II circuit applications. This feature does not include a power transfer from the door to the frame, nor the power supply or control operator. Refer to Von Duprin Door Control and Security Hardware Catalog for complete information. Latchbolt MonitorThe LX (Latchbolt Monitor Switch) option is used to signal both egress and access of an opening. These devices are equipped with one internal SPDT switch which monitors the latchbolt. Less Bottom RodThe Less Bottom Rod (LBR) option is available. In lieu of a bottom rod and latch, a spring-loaded auxiliary bolt is installed in the lower door edge. When exposed to heat (500° for a minimum of twenty minutes), the auxiliary latch releases, keeping the doors in alignment and closed during a fire. UL/cUL listed for 3 hours on double egress doors and 90 minutes on doors swinging in the same direction. The LBR option is not recommended for exterior door openings or where security is critical.
