CavClear^® Insulation System

CavClear^® Masonry Mat or Stone Mat is factory-bonded to rigid insulation to produce this comprehensive full-height air space and moisture-management solution. The Mat will not allow mortar to make contact with the insulation. The CavClear^® Insulation System is installed full-height behind brick or stone in an insulated masonry wall to provide a continuous drainage area.

A properly functioning drainage system is the prerequisite for a masonry design to achieve maximum thermal efficiencies and reduced maintenance and repair costs. Mortar obstructions and droppings that impede drainage are completely prevented by installing full-height protection using the CavClear^® Insulation System.

Both CavClear Masonry and Stone Mats are non-woven mesh manufactured from 100% recycled plastic (minimum 25% post-consumer content). The Mat is factory-bonded to any type of specified rigid insulation (custom per project).

Store in a clean, dry, sheltered area off of the ground until used. Protect from UV rays.

If ties are located at 16" o.c., install 16" x 96" sheets horizontally between ties; otherwise, install 48" x 96" sheets using methods compatible with specified ties. Stagger end joints in adjacent rows. Tightly butt joints. Use a compatible joint sealant on all joints and penetrations.
