DOW CORNING® BRAND PARKING STRUCTURE SEALANTS

Silicone parking structure sealants from Dow Corning are an investment in lower lifecycle costs, less downtime, greater maintenance savings and a better parking structure.

Because they are 100 percent silicone, Dow Corning® brand parking structure sealants resist the environmental stresses that can lead to the early failure of ordinary urethane sealants. Extreme temperatures soften or harden urethane sealants beyond recovery. They are also very susceptible to UV degradation, so they grow brittle and crack over time.

Silicone sealants perform years longer and maintain their flexibility, which keeps water and debris from entering the joints. They can also withstand the vertical deflections of traffic and the expansion-contraction of concrete slabs. Dow Corning offers three parking structure sealants for new construction and renovation applications:

Dow Corning® FC Parking Structure Sealant – A fast-cure, two-part, self-leveling, ultra-low modulus sealant for joints that undergo severe movement due to traffic loads. It is suitable for use in expansion joints from 1-3 inches wide and adheres to concrete, steel and polymeric nosing substrates. The product works well with Silspec® 950 PDX non-coal tar polymer nosing in expansion joints. Dow Corning® 1205 Prime Coat is required for bonding to concrete and Silspec PDX nosing.

Dow Corning® SL Parking Structure Sealant – A self-leveling, one-part, cold-applied, ultra-low modulus sealant formulated for concrete, asphalt and concrete-to-asphalt joints that experience high movement. It is ideal for horizontal and moderately sloped joints, minor construction joints, crack control joints and random crack chasing. Because it is self-leveling and requires no primer, installation is fast and easy.

Dow Corning® NS Parking Structure Sealant – A one-part, non-sag formulation that cures to a durable, flexible (low modulus) silicone seal in horizontal concrete joints and on vertical surfaces, such as curbs and traffic barriers. It is ideal for renovation projects and provides excellent unprimed adhesion on concrete.

The Better Choice for Longer Service

  • Virtually unaffected by sunlight, rain, snow, ozone and temperature extremes
  • Outstanding movement capability (+100/-50 percent) without splitting, cracking or losing adhesion
  • Remain elastic for years, keeping water and debris from entering the joints
  • 5-year Weatherseal Limited Warranty
