Storm Class Louvers

Airolite Storm Class louvers are designed and rated to provide high volume intake and exhaust ventilation and prevent water penetration under the most severe wind driven rain conditions.

Designed and certified under the internationally recognized HEVAC Technical Specification to resist water penetration under wind driven rain conditions. 100% effective against water penetration when tested under 45 mph exterior wind velocity and 4.3 in/hour (110 mm/hr) rainfall rate for 60 minutes by BSRIA under the HEVAC test configuration. Airolite offers both AMCA Licensed performance ratings and ratings certified by BSRIA under the HEVAC Technical Specification.

Airolite Architectural Louvers are assembled entirely by welding to ensure optimum strength and durability required to resist vibration damage and eliminate the potential for galvanic corrosion. Fluoropolymer and anodized finish coatings are applied to Airolite Architectural Louvers only after each product is weld-assembled to ensure that all exposed edges and surfaces received maximum protection.

NEW Type SCH-201 & SCV-201 Louvers with Two-Inch Blade Depth
11/28/05

Airolite has rounded out its Storm Class™ wind-driven rain louver line by offering a louver with a two-inch blade depth. Louver Type SCH-201 is an extruded aluminum horizontal stationary louver designed to protect air intake and exhaust openings in building exterior walls that are sensitive to the penetration of wind driven rain and are dictated by space constraints. Louver Type SCV-201, a two-inch louver type with vertical blades, is also available. Airolite’s Storm Class louvers can be specified in a variety of colors and finishes with blade depths from two to eight inches to meet any design challenge.

New Louver Type SCH501

Louver Type SCH501’s design incorporates a drainable head member, sloped sill and aesthetically pleasing five-inch deep horizontal blades to provide maximum resistance to wind-blown rain in even the most extreme conditions. Tested in accordance with AMCA Standard 500-L 99, Airolite Louver Type SCH501 is licensed to bear the AMCA Seal for Water Penetration and Air Performance allowing designers to specify with confidence.

New Louver Type SCV4 Vertical Blade
New Airolite Louver Type SCV4 is a four-inch deep, vertical, stationary blade louver rated under AMCA Standard 500-L 99 – Wind Driven Rain Water Penetration Test. Louver Type SCV4 achieves a Rain Rejection Effectiveness Classification of "A" and is rated to be 99.7% effective when subjected to an exterior wind velocity of 50 mph (22 m/s) wind and a simulated rainfall rate of 8-inches per hour (200 ml/h) in accordance with AMCA Standard 500-L 99. Airolite Storm Class™ product range now includes two, four, five, six, seven and eight-inch deep louvers, all rated under AMCA Standard 500-L 99 Wind Driven Rain Water Penetration Test.

New Louver Type SCH4

New Airolite louver Type SCH4 is a four-inch deep, horizontal, stationary blade louver rated under AMCA Standard 500-L 99, Wind Driven Rain Water Penetration Test. Louver Type SCH4 achieves a Rain Rejection Effectiveness Classification of “A” and is rated to be 99.9% effective when subjected to an exterior wind velocity of 50 mph (22.42 m/s) and a simulated rainfall rate of 8-inches (203.2 ml) per hour when tested for 60-minutes. Louver Type SCH4 is a four-inch deep louver, and expands Airolite's existing Storm Class™ product range which includes five-inch, six-inch, seven-inch and eight-inch deep louvers all rated under AMCA Standard 500-L 99, Wind Driven Rain Water Penetration Test.
