Chemical Systems for Cast-in-Place Concrete

Chemical systems are an important part of every construction project. These systems are critical to maximizing concrete performance and appearance.

Liquid systems
The liquid systems from Symons include form releases, curing compounds, cure and sealing compounds, hardeners, water repellents and bonding agents. These systems are available in solvent- or water-based formulations.

Magic Kote® form release – The most-recognized, most-specified form release in concrete forming. This chemically neutral blend is designed for use with almost any forming surface.

Resi-Chem® curing compound – Premium resin-based (Class B) material, in Type 1 (clear), Type 1D (w/dye) and Type 2 (white) products, meets ASTM-C-309 requirements.

Cure & Seal™ curing and sealing compounds – Blended acrylic copolymers, in several concentrations, strengthen and protect newly place concrete surfaces.

Cure & Hard™ hardener – A reactive material to harden and dustproof concrete surfaces for extended wear and service life.

Cement systems
The cement systems from Symons include construction grouts, repair mortars, shake-on hardeners and floor levelers. These systems are designed to enhance concrete performance or correct concrete surface problems.

Multi-Purpose construction grout – Non-shrink structural grout with good workability and excellent compressive strength meets ASTM-C-1107 requirements.

DOT Patch repair mortar – Fast-setting, cement-based material designed to meet many state Department of Transportation repair specifications.

Hard Top shake-on hardener – Specially graded silica aggregate, for newly placed interior or exterior concrete, to provide a more durable and wear-resistant surface.

Concrete Top floor leveler – A polymer-modified, cement-based, self-leveling material provides a smooth wearing surface on uneven and unfinished interior concrete floors.

Epoxy Systems
The epoxy systems from Symons include gel anchor, injection resins, mortar binder and joint filler. These rapid-curing systems are designed for time-sensitive applications and are used to correct structural concrete problems.

ResCon® Gel Anchor – Two-component, fast-setting, epoxy adhesive for anchoring bolts, dowels, and rebar, meets ASTM-C-881 requirements.

ResCon Injection Resin – Two-component, fast-setting epoxy repair adhesive for pressure injection of concrete cracks.
