Heatizon Offers 2 Systems for Low Voltage Space Heating Elements: ZMESH® ZMesh heating element does not require a mud bed and can be placed directly under most floor coverings, including hardwood, or retrofit in the joist space below the sub-floor. With ZMesh, the floor buildup is minimal (typically less than 1/16”) and structural loading for weight and additional framing requirements is nonexistent. 
TUFF CABLE Tuff Cable heating element is ideal whenever a concrete or mud bed is desirable or necessary. Tuff Cable requires a buildup of only 1/4” — far less than virtually all of its hydronic and high voltage competitors. Heatizon's Tuff Cable heating element is a durable, chemical and gasoline resistant, 10-gauge coated copper cable. Tuff Cable's versatility allows it to be installed in concrete, tile mortar bed, thin set, Heatizon's Heatsink Kit, or asphalt. Typical installations for Tuff Cable include total space heating, floor warming, new pour and retrofit snow melting and roof de-icing under metal roofing material.
