Horizontal Beam Stadiums
For a stadium to be cost effective and stand the test of time, it has to have a strong, sound substructure. Today's most unique and exciting stadiums start with our classic Horizontal Beam design substructure. This Southern Bleacher innovation is truly the most versatile galvanized substructure in the industry today. With the Horizontal Beam substructure as the basis for your project, challenging, technical issues are easily resolved and options are many and easily within reach of your budget.

The 7,168-seat Jesse wens Track Stadium on the Ohio State University campus is an excellent example of the versatility of our Horizontal Beam stadium. The University faced a myriad of issues and problems including space constraints and historical preservation of the existing track. The completed stadium addressed these issues and helped Ohio State honor the name of Jesse Owens with this premier facility for track and soccer. The stadium features our Interlock 2000 decking system and custom color painted risers and backrests.

Another example is the City of Coffeyville, Kansas 4,475-seat football and track stadium. This stadium is where junior colleges play the championship game. The addition of the stone facade individualizes the stadium and enhances the attached press box. The creation of useable space beneath the stadium is also illustrated in this example. The stadium features our
Interlock 2000 decking system; custom color painted risers and a special section with stadium chairs.

The Ball State University 3,048-seat South End Zone grandstand illustrates the versatility and options available with our Horizontal Beam stadiums. The space beneath the stadium has been developed into a training facility with a glassed in area looking out onto the field. The extensive use of metal siding gives the illusion of a concrete stadium costing tens of thousands
more in money. The addition of elevators and a press box / scoreboard combination further enhance the grandstand. The decking system is our Interlock 2000.
