FULL RANGE FEATURES

Moduflex® operable walls are offered in individual, paired and continuously hinged, manually or electrically operated panel models in three series. A full range of options, including expanding panels, single and double pass-doors, self-illuminated exit signs and chalk and marker and tackable surfaces may be specified. Their remarkable, versatile, elegantly styled walls outperform most permanent walls with an unmatched range of construction, engineering, sound transmission and acoustical features.

SHEER LOOK®

Moduflex® Series 800, Series 600 and Series 400 operable walls feature Sheer Look® panel edges without trim to minimize vertical panel joints. A wide range of surfacing materials is available including wood veneers, plastic laminates, Ribtex® vertical rib wall carpet, Startex™ solid color, Fabrictex® fabric textured and Ropetex® rope textured vinyl, Woventex® panel fabrics and Woodtex® wood grain vinyls as well as virtually any specified wall covering including Customer’s Own Material.

OPERATING EASE

Regardless of height, Moduflex® panels roll conveniently along their overhead tracks with ease and minimum setup time. A family of smooth-rolling track and carrier systems that satisfy every multiple panel use and remote storage requirement provide for "user-friendly" panel operation.

Moduflex Series 800 Steel operable walls with four inch (102mm) thick panels are designed for the most demanding, aesthetic and performance criteria. Durable steel panel faces are welded to 14-gauge (1.90mm) steel frames in a unibody construction, unique in this industry.

ACOUSTICAL PERFORMANCE

Moduflex Series 800 fully operable walls have attained stringent independent laboratory acoustical ratings of STC 54, STC 52, STC 49 and STC 47. And an optional noise reduction coefficient of NRC .90 is available using steel perforated faces rather than add-on unprotected absorbers. Panels have continuous vertical and horizontal acoustical seals placed in a double row labyrinth for optimum acoustical performance. Moduflex Series 800 panels are four inches (102mm) thick, providing the best combination of handling convenience, compact storage and acoustical efficiency.

NON-COMBUSTIBLE SEAMLESS STEEL CONSTRUCTION

Rugged one-piece 14-gauge (1.90mm) steel frames are permanently and invisibly welded to one-piece seamless steel faces regardless of panel width or height. Bronze finish deep-nesting, interlocking vertical panel edges and horizontal operable seals are made of steel for extra impact strength and fire resistance. An optional l Hour U.L.® classification is available.

Moduflex Series 600 high performance operable walls with four inch (102mm) thick panels for general purpose applications have high density panel faces which are machine laminated to metal frames providing the strength, mass and stability required.

ACOUSTICAL PERFORMANCE

Moduflex Series 600 fully operable walls have attained stringent independent laboratory acoustical ratings of STC 50, STC 47 and STC 45. Panels have continuous vertical and horizontal acoustical seals that are carefully aligned and placed in a double row labyrinth for optimum acoustical performance. Like Moduflex Series 800 steel operable walls, Moduflex Series 600 general purpose walls are four inches thick, providing the best combination of handling convenience, compact storage and acoustical efficiency.

NON-COMBUSTIBLE CLASS "A" RATED CONSTRUCTION

Full height, non-combustible, high density faces are machine pressure laminated to one-piece, unspliced metal frames. Bronze finish deep-nesting, interlocking vertical panel edges and horizontal operable seals are made of steel for extra impact strength and fire resistance.

Moduflex Series 400 operable walls with three inch (76mm) thick panels for general purpose applications have high density panel faces which are machine laminated to metal frames providing the strength, mass and stability required.

ACOUSTICAL PERFORMANCE

Moduflex Series 400 fully operable walls have attained independent laboratory acoustical ratings of STC 47, STC 44, STC 42 and STC 38. Panels have continuous vertical and horizontal acoustical seals that are carefully aligned and placed in a double row labyrinth for optimum acoustical performance.
