A.) Composition
Dex-O-Tex SC Membrane is a combination waterproofing and crack reduction application. Designed for use beneath Dex-O-Tex terrazzo and/or trowel type floors, SC Membrane is a 100% solids epoxy material with no volatile organic content (Zero VOC). This material forms a monolithic, tightly adhering, moulded membrane across floors and up bases. Thickness of product is 30-40 mils.
Extremely flexible, SC Membrane will not crack itself and will remain waterproof even over cracks opening to 1/16”. Dex-O-Tex SC Membrane possesses good chemical resistance and is designed for use as a secondary containment membrane. This product can be installed using woven fiberglas (optional).
B. Typical Uses
Areas where waterproofing or suppression and reduction of reflective cracking from substrate fracture is important. Secondary containment areas.
C. Advantages – Limitations

4. Bridges hairline concrete cracks, helps prevent reflective cracking.
Limitations:
1. When installed onto on-ground concrete floor slab requires functioning vapor barrier to prevent
upwards water vapor transmission which may result in loosening of epoxy floors.

A) Prepare surfaces by careful and thorough removal of laitance, grease, bond inhibiting concrete curing agents, etc.
B) Apply epoxy bonding coat by trowel or brush.
C) Apply SC Membrane by squeegee or trowel to thickness of 30-40 mils.
