Harcourt St. Dex-O-Tex Terrazzo is manufactured by Crossfield Products Corp., the polymer floors industry leader for more than sixty years Crossfield originated the concept of thin-section terrazzo installed monolithically to a thickness of only 1/4” - 3/8” (6-9 mm). Dex-O-Tex Terrazzo, available in several epoxy or polyacrylate types, make a definite statement - a floor which is distinguished, dignified and practical. Probably the most cost effective floor which can be bought, a Dex-O-Tex Terrazzo floor is easily maintained and looks the same after a quarter century of service as is did when new. Many Dex-O-Tex Terrazzo floors are used in industrial service where their durability and monolithic properties are important. Available in a wide range of standard or computer-matched matrix colors, these floors can be installed using traditional marble or specialty aggregates of glass or granite. Dex-O-Tex Terrazzo thin-section floors require no special surface preparation and make transitions to adjacent floor finishes without difficulty. Dex-O-Tex Terrazzo flooring and related materials are found in the following “profile” sections: Dex-O-Tex Cheminert Terrazzo An extremely tough, durable epoxy floor with easy cleaning features. Typical specified thickness is 1/4”-3/8” (6-9 mm). Can be installed monolithically or with divider strips for decorative purposes. Integral coved base. Available in wide range of standard colors plus individual color matches. Dex-O-Tex Spectrum Terrazzo A polyacrylate resin, cement based terrazzo Dex-O-Tex Spectrum “breathes” and is immune from damage by water vapor transmission from below. This floor is typically specified at a thickness of 3/8-1/2” (9-12 mm). Dex-O-Tex Micro-Terrazzo An epoxy terrazzo designed for speed and economy. Micro-Terrazzo is installed at 3/16”-1/4” (4-6 mm) and incorporates smaller marble chips. Has the durability of epoxy terrazzo but with an alternative appearance. Good choice for small areas or industrial locations. Dex-O-Tex SC Membrane This flexibilized epoxy membrane offers substantial elasticity plus complete waterproofness. SC Membrane can span without rupture a concrete crack opening to 1/16” (1.5 mm). Installed at 30-40 mils thickness, SC Membrane provides valuable “crack isolation”: which retards/restricts cracking of terrazzo floors due to substrate cracking. |
