PROMENADE ROOF DECK SURFACING

1.) PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A) Composition
Dex-O-Tex Elastatex 500 is a trowel-applied elastomeric surfacing designed primarily for use as a waterproof promenade roofing. The material consists of a unique moisture-cured resin binder into which rubber aggregate is combined at time of application to form a tough, elastic waterproof membrane. A topcoat, available in a range of colors, is then applied. The material is turned up against building walls, parapets, etc., to form an integral waterproof membrane.

Designed primarily as a waterproof promenade surfacing for balconies, sun decks and play roofs, Dex-O-Tex Elastatex 500 is also used as a protective covering for renovating cracked concrete sidewalks, parking structures, pool decks, etc. Surfaces over which Dex-O-Tex Elastatex 500 may be installed include: plywood, new and existing concrete, and metal. B) Typical Uses
Promenade roofs, sun decks, rooftop tennis courts, balconies, waterproof traffic surfacing for pedestrian/vehicular applications.

C) Advantages/Limitations

3.) INSTALLATION

A) Prepare surface by careful and thorough removal of laitance, grease, concrete-curing agents and foreign matter. Consult Crossfield Products Corp. for instructions on acid etching or shotblasting requirements.
B) Apply epoxy primer by roller.
C) Apply Elastatex basecoat by trowel and broadcast rubber granules into cured basecoat.
D) Apply pigmented topcoat by roller or airless spray.

5.) MAINTENANCE
