GROSSING WORKSTATIONS

MOPEC’S COMPLETE WORKSTATIONS

The "MB" series of Grossing Workstations provide the convenience of a complete work area within a gross dissection/cutting room. Mopec’s "MB" series Grossing Workstations are available in Countertop, Free Standing, and Elevating Models. Mopec’s "MB" series incorporates all necessary pathological functions with the safety of an environment free of toxic formaldehyde fumes.

Mopec’s Workstation is constructed of 100% heavy gauge 304 stainless steel with a #4 satin finish.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS:

The MB-Series Workstations simply set in place. The MB200 will require a hole to be cut into existing countertop to allow the large sink to be recess. This simple procedure can be performed by maintenance personnel. The power supply is a heavy-duty electrical cord that connects to any 115 volt,15 amp electric source. A qualified electrician should be available for installation. A hospital grade plug can be factory installed, at your request, allowing the electrical connection to any standard outlet.

MAIN WORK AREA:

The main work area has been carefully designed to maximize safety and efficiency. The all stainless steel surface provides a sanitary, easy-to-clean work area. The work surface is sloped slightly into the integral sink to facilitate drainage. The work surface measures 40" long by 19" wide.

The Mopec Workstations were designed for the cost-conscious pathology laboratory … but we didn’t compromise the necessary safety features.

FUME HANDLING:

The Mopec Grossing Workstations have been designed to be flexible to remove formaldehyde fumes by filtration/recirculation or by direct ventilation. The filtration/recirculation system provides an inexpensive method of handling formaldehyde fumes since special ducting is not required. Self-contained fans pull harmful formaldehyde vapors away from the workstation user and through a potassium permanganate filter that eliminates toxic fumes. (As the formaldehyde fumes pass through these screens, they undergo a chemical reaction that turns them into harmless carbon dioxide and water.)

POWERFUL FANS FOR FILTRATION/RECIRCULATION SYSTEM:

Two fans evacuate the work surface of all harmful formaldehyde vapors into the internal filtering system. Mopec’s Workstation air flow exceeds all required regulations for air movement. This assures your laboratory personnel are not exposed to harmful formaldehyde fumes.

DIRECT VENTILATION EXHAUST SYSTEM (No filters required):

All of Mopec’s Workstations can be equipped with optional exhaust duct work that connects to the existing ventilation system. Mopec’s engineers will work with your facility’s personnel to make sure you have the proper ventilation to meet required regulations. The duct manifolds will be factory installed and ready to use upon arrival.

EASY FRONT FILTER ACCESS – CHANGE FILTERS IN MINUTES!

Filters filled with activated alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate (BF001) provide the filtering for the Workstation. The formaldehyde is absorbed on the alumina, then oxidized rapidly by the permanganate into harmless carbon dioxide and water. The filters will last from 6 to 24 weeks depending on your lab activity.

CONTROL PANEL

The electrical control switches are conveniently located at eye level for quick and easy access. All switches are fitted with a clear covering, protecting them from fluids and moisture. A 115 volt GFCI Duplex receptacle is located under the panel, allowing safe use of electrical devices.
