SPECIFICATIONS
Meets or exceeds ANSI A118.6-1985. NOTE: It is the user's responsibility to determine the condition and suitability of all surfaces before application.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Use in narrow grout joints 1/8" or less. Follow ANSI A108.10.

MIXING: For best color reproduction, mix with #425 Multi-Purpose Acrylic Latex Admixture. In a clean pail add 5 lbs. of Unsanded Dry Tile Grout to 3 - 3 1/4 cups (24 - 26 oz.) of #425 Multi-Purpose Acrylic Latex Admixture or clean potable water. Mix slowly to a smooth paste-like consistency. Let stand for 15 minutes and remix to eliminate streaks and ensure uniform color. NOTE: Mix according to instructions on grout packaging. Approximately 1 gallon of latex or water per 25 lbs. of grout. Grout can be remixed during its pot life for improved workability. DO NOT ADD ANY ADDITIONAL WATER OR LATEX.

APPLICATION: Remove all spacers from the tile. Lightly dampen tile before grouting. Spread grout over the face of the tile using a rubber grout float. Work grout back and forth at a 45° angle to the face of the tile to ensure complete filling of joints. Remove excess grout using the edge of the rubber float moving diagonally across the face of the tile.

GROUT CLEANING: Use Hydroment Remove for cleaning latex grouts and difficult grout haze. Once grout firms (approximately 30 minutes after application), clean excess grout from the face of the tile. Using a damp, closed cell sponge, wipe diagonally across the grout joints. Rinse sponge often. A final buffing using a clean, dry cloth may be necessary to remove any remaining grout film. NOTE: Excess water during clean-up may result in a lighter grout joint.

CURING: For grout mixed with water, damp cure for 3 days by wiping joints with a damp cloth or sponge several times a day or by covering joints with non-staining Kraft paper. Damp curing is not required if grout is mixed with #425 Acrylic Latex Admixture. Improper curing may result in light color and weak joints.

LIMITATIONS

  • Do not use grout in joints greater than 1/8" wide.
  • Do not use in applications where high chemical and stain resistance is required (use Hydroment EzPoxy 100% solids epoxy grout).
  • Do not apply in temperatures below 50°F or above 100°F.
  • Do not install over control or expansion joints.
CAUTION: Use special care when applying colored grouts over highly absorptive, porous, and textured surfaces; or polished porcelain. Certain tiles retain colored pigments and may require sealing prior to grouting. Always test in a separate area to ensure compatibility or refer to tile manufacturers specific instructions.

NOTE: Job site conditions may effect grout color reproduction.

CLEAN UP
Remove excess Dry Tile Grout from hands and tools with a sponge and clean water immediately after use. Removal of cured grout is very difficult.
