PANEL RESTRAINT ANCHORS

Halfen Anchoring Systems manufactures a range of restraint anchors suitable for architectural precast panels, spandrel panels and wet-cast cast stone panels.  Halfen anchor channels are cast into the back face of the panels.  During erection, the panels are secured to the structure with one of three different fastening methods:

  • Weld strap with tee head inserted into embed, and welded off to structure.
  • Tee-bolt inserted into embed and bolted to structure, or anchor clip.
  • Nut in embed, receiving threaded rod or bolt for securing to structure.
Halfen panel restraint anchors are available in 4 sizes with allowable capacities ranging from 2,200 to 7,100 lb [9.8 to 31.6 kN].  Restraint straps are available in lengths from 3” to 18” [76 to 457mm].  A wide variety of tee-bolts are available in different diameters, lengths and strength grades to suit most connection details.  Channel nuts are available in sizes up to 1” UNC.

NEAR-EDGE RESTRAINT ANCHOR

To complement the standard range of restraint anchors, Halfen also manufactures a zero end clearance anchor which can be cast into a panel with the end flush with the edge of the panel. This anchor uses the same fastening devices as the standard restraint anchors.

These and other connection details can be made using standard Halfen anchor channels. Custom designed anchors can also be developed to suit unique anchor needs.
 
DOUBLE TEE STEM ANCHOR

The Halfen double tee stem anchor is cast into the bottom face of the stem of a precast double tee. Easy to install, lengths of double tee anchors are laid in the bottom of the form, strand is draped between the anchor lugs then tensioned, holding the embeds firmly in position in the bottom of the form while the concrete is being poured.

Double tee stem anchors are available in 10 and 20 ft [3,050 and 6,100mm] lengths in hot dip galvanized finish, and are foam filled to prevent wet concrete entering the channel cavity. The anchors have pull-out capacities up to 2,500 lb [11.1 kN], and can be used to support services, equipment or signage, and anchor wall partitions.
