Framing to Complete the Entrance

Special-Lite manufactures a variety of framing products that complement our heavy-duty doors to provide a complete entrance solution from a single source. We offer heavy-duty tube framing in many different sizes, in both flush glazed and applied stop configurations. For adjoining glass areas we also offer a storefront framing product, including thermally improved models.

All of our framing products are made from 6063-T5 aluminum alloy and can be finished in any of our Class 1 (0.7 mil) anodized or paint color options, or any custom paint color. All framing is completely assembled during manufacturing, with minimal knockdown for shipping to ensure a perfect fit and reduced installation cost. Clear installation instructions ship with every job, and we offer free installation training at our factory or the customer’s location, and free installation training videos.

SL-61 Center Post

The Special-Lite^® SL-61 Removable Center Post is available keyed or non-keyed and can be removed quickly to allow oversized objects to pass through double doors with ease.

Retrofit Framing

A cost-effective solution for renovation work is our 1030 Series Insert Frame and SL-70 Capping system which offers the functional advantages of a new aluminum tube frame, but avoids the cost and time required to remove deteriorated hollow metal framing. Our Insert Frame can be secured to the existing frame to bring the opening back to plumb and square before hanging new doors. To completely cover rusted hollow metal framing, add SL-70 Capping for a more finished look. Special-Lite^® 1030 Series Frame/SL-70 Capping systems are suitable for frame depths of up to 6-3/4".

Panels

Special-Lite^® Panels can be manufactured with any of our face sheet materials or colors in 1/4", 1" and 1-3/4" standard thicknesses. Contact your sales representative or Special-Lite for more information.
