Ametco® Architectural Grilles and Screens

Ametco® Manufacturing Corp. has the industry’s largest selection of architectural grilles and screens. From electro-forge welded steel grilles to extruded aluminum louvers, Ametco® can work with you to achieve the requirements of your project.

All Ametco® louver designs are polyester powder coated to any of Ametco®’s 15 standard colors.


Architectural Grilles



Ametco® Grilles are manufactured from electro-forge welded steel giving you the strength required for security. Ametco® can fabricate any of the standard meshes to fit your needs. All grilles are hot dip galvanized after fabrication and then powder coated. This combination not only gives you the best protection but also allows you to choose a color from Ametco®’s 15 standard colors to harmonize with the surrounding environment.

Architectural Screens



Ametco® Architectural Screening is achieved by using fixed louver material in one of three designs. All designs are manufactured from extruded aluminum.

The Eclipse® Design is ideal for horizontal applications with either 80% or 100% direct visual screening.

The Venetian® Design can be used horizontally or vertically with 100% visual screening.

The Phoenix® Design can be used either horizontally or vertically and is the strongest of the three designs. The strength of the Phoenix® Design allows post centers up to 8 feet.

All three designs are powder coated after fabrication to allow you the choice of color from Ametco®’s 15 standard colors.

Finish Warranty
The warranty for the powder coated finish is 20 years. The polyester coated metal remains corrosion free for years.

Performance properties for the polyester coating are as follows:

SALT SPRAY RESISTANCE: (ASTM B-117) Bonderite 1000 steel panels, in a scored condition, exhibit no undercutting after 500 hours in 5% spray testing at 95 degrees F and 95% relative humidity. No rusting or blistering on panel face. Under the same conditions after 1000 hours the panels showed less than 3/16 " undercutting.
WEATHERABILITY: (ASTM D822) After one year exposure in South Florida with panels facing south and tilted at a 45 degree angle, a high gloss white polyester coating retains 88% gloss (gloss readings obtained on washed panels). No film failure.

A 2-part polyurethane coat is used when grilles and screens are too large to be powder coated. Ametco® Mfg. Corp. certifies that its grille and screen systems are free from defects in material and workmanship. The polyester coated grille and screen panels are guaranteed not to crack, peel or blister for a period of 20 years. Accidental damages, defects resulting from improper installation and damage from vandalism or abuse are not included. Warranty is limited to a prorated value of the coating, not to exceed the original value of the coating. Or, at Ametco®’s discretion, re-coating the panel but not to include labor removal or reinstallation.
