Ametco^® Louvers

Built to Last
The Ametco^® Louver System is designed to furnish you the most attractive, most flexible and strongest system on the market today.

The strongest Louver in the Ametco^® System is the Phoenix^® Design. Fabricated from extruded aluminum main bars, the Phoenix^® Design is available in both fixed and adjustable styles.

The Venetian^® Design louver is a fixed louver that will give you up to 100% visual screening from any direction. The Venetian^® Design is fabricated form extruded aluminum and can be used horizontally or vertically.

The Saturn Design is our newest design that allows visual screening and at the same time air flow. The Saturn Design is manufactured from the same aluminum main bars as the Phoenix^® Design but in a different configuration.

The Eclipse^® Design is also manufactured from extruded aluminum and the Shadow^® Design is manufactured from electro-forge welded steel and is hot dip galvanized. Both the Eclipse^® and Shadow^® Designs provide 100% visual screening.

All five Ametco^® louver designs are polyester powder coated to any of Ametco^®’s 15 standard colors and have a 10 year warranty. All of Ametco^®’s louvers can be specified with either bird or insect screening. Phoenix^® - Aluminum
Characteristics
The Phoenix^® Design allows 50% to 100% direct visual screening.

Specify
The Phoenix^® Design is the strongest of Ametco^®’s louvers. Manufactured from 6063 extruded aluminum, the fixed Phoenix^® Design can span 12 feet and the adjustable Phoenix^® Design can span 4 feet.

Venetian^® – Aluminum
Characteristics
The fixed Louver Venetian^® Design allows up to 100% visual screening in any direction and still allows airflow for ventilation.

Specify
TIG welded extruded aluminum Venetian^® Design has V-shaped extruded aluminum main bars with extruded aluminum main bars with extruded aluminum framing bars. The extrusions are type 6063. The aluminum extrusions are powder coated after fabrication.

Saturn – Aluminum
Characteristics
Saturn Design is not the typical louver design. It is a series of aluminum extrusions that offer a flat surface with every other bar offset to allow for air movement.

Specify
The Saturn Design is manufactured from 6063 extruded aluminum bars. This design can run either vertically or horizontally.

Eclipse^®– Aluminum or Stainless

Extruded Aluminum or Stainless Steel Eclipse^® Design has formed or extruded inclined main bars on 2 1/16 in. centers. Cross bars are on centers up to 18 in. Eclipse^® Aluminum is 6063 extrusions. Eclipse^® Stainless is type 304 stainless. Both are polyester powder coated.

Model with inclined sections, exclusive polished design, without cuts or joints and therefore monolithic.

Electro-forge welded steel louver. Ametco^® Shadow^® Design, horizontal or vertical – 1 31/32 in. x 1/16 in. formed main bars, 5/32 in. round cross bar, 1 13/16 in. x 5 7/32 in. mesh. Galvanized to ASTM 123 and/or polyester powder coated.

Finish Warranty
The warranty for the powder coated finish is 10 years. The polyester coated metal remains corrosion free for years.

Performance properties for the polyester coating are as follows:

SALT SPRAY RESISTANCE: (ASTM B-117) Bonderite 1000 steel panels, in a scored condition, exhibit no undercutting after 500 hours in 5% spray testing at 95 degrees F and 95% relative humidity. No rusting or blistering on panel face. Under the same conditions after 1000 hours the panels showed less than 3/16 " undercutting.

WEATHERABILITY: (ASTM D822) After one year exposure in South Florida with panels facing south and tilted at a 45 degree angle, a high gloss white polyester coating retains 88% gloss (gloss readings obtained on washed panels). No film failure.

A 2-part polyurethane coat is used when louvers are too large to be powder coated. Ametco^® Mfg. Corp. certifies that its louver systems are free from defects in material and workmanship. The polyester coated louver is guaranteed not to crack, peel or blister for a period of 10 years. Accidental damages, defects resulting from improper installation and damage from vandalism or abuse are not included. Warranty is limited to a prorated value of the coating, not to exceed the original value of the coating. Or, at Ametco^®’s discretion, re-coating the panel but not to include labor removal or reinstallation.
