HOMEX® 300 EXPANSION JOINT FILLERS

DESCRIPTION
Homex® 300 is a pre-molded wood fibre strip for use in concrete and masonry joints to compensate for contraction and expansion caused by temperature change. Because of its resilient composition, Homex® is installed neatly and easily, without danger of misalignment or breakage. It will not extrude in hot weather nor crack in cold weather. The natural grey color blends with concrete to further enhance the appearance of the finished job.

USES
Homex® 300 Expansion Joint Filler has been used successfully in varied installations ranging from those measured in feet to those measured in miles. Homex® may be used in any building construction where masonry or concrete walls meet outside aprons, walks, patios or steps. It also is ideal for swimming pool aprons, outdoor terraces, driveways and retaining walls. In general construction, Homex® has been used successfully in airport runways, aprons and hangars; also in concrete floors and walls, bridges, tunnels, viaducts, abutments, ramps, retaining walls, gutters, curbs and pavements.

ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS (short form)
Expansion joint filler shall be Homex® 300 as manufactured by Homasote Company, Trenton, N.J., and installed in strict accordance with Homasote Company current specifications.

ADVANTAGES
Because Homex® is lightweight, nonbituminous, and pre-formed in several thicknesses, it is incomparably easy to install, cleanly – without misalignment, distortion, breakage, or mess. It maintains resiliency at any temperature – without becoming soft in hot weather or brittle in cold weather. Homex® is integrally protected against termites, rot and fungi. It is compatible with polymerized sealants where their use is required.
