![]() Winged Expansion Joint Systems The Polycrete CR-Series Membrane System ![]()
The Polycrete CR-Series Membrane System is designed for parking deck and open-air structures. It features a preformed, elastomeric membrane, which is fusion-bonded to the concrete deck with Polycrete Elastomeric Concrete. Once installed, this system provides a watertight seal while flexing in response to fluctuations in joint width. There are several sizes in the CR-Series group to accommodate different joint opening and movement capabilities. ![]()
The membrane incorporates a center section with a heavy-duty web structure and integral edge flaps with factory punched holes. The Polycrete penetrates the holes to secure the membrane to the base of the concrete block out. The center web configuration is precisely located to exert a continuous and uniform horizontal force against the joint walls. The CR-Series shapes are specifically designed for applications where maintaining a smooth walking surface is important. A series of grooves across the top surface of the cross-section allows the seals to provide a virtually constant level surface during cyclic action. The Polycrete DW-Series Membrane System![]()
The Polycrete DW-Series Membrane System is designed for parking deck and open-air structures. It features a preformed elastomeric membrane that is fusion-bonded to the concrete deck with Polycrete Elastomeric Concrete. Once installed, this system provides a watertight seal while flexing in response to fluctuations in joint width. ![]()
The membrane incorporates a center section with a heavy-duty web structure and integral edge flaps with factory-punched holes. The Polycrete mixture penetrates the holes in the edge flaps and secures the part to the base of the concrete block-out. The DW-Series shapes are specifically designed for applications where a smooth walking surface is required. Due to the special action of the top (horizontal) and center (vertical) webs of the cross-section, the seals provide a nearly constantly level surface during cyclic action. The WM-Series System![]()
The WM-Series System is an expansion joint product designed for parking garages and open-air structures, as well as buried joint applications, where leak stoppage is critical. The design features an extruded elastomeric membrane, which is fusion-bonded to the concrete deck with Polycrete Elastomeric Concrete. Once installed, the system provides a watertight seal, while flexing in response to fluctuations in joint width. ![]()
There are four distinct sizes in the WM-Series family group, namely, the WM-150, WM-200, WM-225 and WM-101. Each is designed for a different joint opening and movement capability. The WM-Series shapes are an appropriate selection for use where thin topping slabs require a proportionately shallow expansion joint profile. The single-ply membrane installs more easily than other multi-celled shapes that must be compressed and forced down into the joint opening. A further use for the product is for buried applications where it is extremely important to specify and install a watertight system. Polycrete 1600![]()
Polycrete 1600 is an elastomeric concrete, engineered for use in nosing applications alongside expansion joint systems. The material is an epoxy blend that resists wear due to the impact of vehicular loadings and also resists cracking at low temperatures. Polycrete outperforms traditional nosing materials such as concrete, epoxies, and asphalt. These materials have historically shown breakdown due to cracking and allowed moisture and salts to penetrate the concrete surrounding the expansion joint system. If moisture and salt travel down through the joint opening to the structure's support members it may cause premature deterioration of those members. ![]()
Polycrete has a track record of excellent performance. It is used to anchor our extensive line of expansion joint products including applications with the CR-Series, DW-Series and WM-Series winged seals as well as out Aluminum Strip Seal Systems. ![]()
Polycrete Hot Applied The "Hot Applied" Polycrete Elastomeric header material was engineered for its elasticity and bond strength to concrete. It's most popular uses include header material, end dam applications, and anchoring expansion joint systems to concrete. This rugged material has elastomeric qualities that allow it to flex without cracking or causing failure of the bond. The resistance to vehicular wear has made Polycrete a popular choice for use on parking deck sand other open-air structures. The resistance to wear is due to the loading of the resins with pre-measured amounts of stone and gradations of sands. The resins remain flexible even at low temperatures. Because the material has an elastomeric nature, it readily accepts impacting to the edges and surface of the slab. Polycrete dissipates point loads to the substrate below.
