JBL SYNTHESIS® FOUR

Designed for listening rooms of up to 4,000 cubic feet.

Synthesis® Four systems offer your customers a choice of ways to fill their space with dramatic, full-spectrum sound from compact system components. They include 3-way in-wall main loudspeakers (one S4HC and two S4VCs), backed up with two S4S subwoofers and S800 amplifiers for an all-in-wall solution and four S4Ai in-wall dipole surrounds. Power comes from an SDP-5 processor/controller, SDEC-3000 digital equalizer and S7150 7-channel amplifier. For rooms where the in-wall S4S is not used, the HTPS-400 can be substituted. (The HTPS-400 is replaced by the 14" PS1400 active subwoofer in 230-volt markets.)

Vertical or Horizontal Multipolar Flush-Mount THX® Surround Loudspeaker:

  • Fits into standard-construction 2" × 4" stud walls with grille that mounts flush to wall surface for smooth, clean look
  • Choose between dipole or bipole mode for spectacular cinematic experience
  • Direct-radiating 2-way 8" speaker when in music mode
  • Can be dual-driven to provide both side and rear channels from one position in room to fit smaller installations

S4S
In-wall, Flush-mount Dual 10-inch Passive Subwoofer

  • 500 Watts per channel
  • Dual 10" polymer-coated aluminum cones with rubber surrounds
  • 64" × 14" × 5.1" (1626 mm × 356 mm × 130 mm) mounted in S4SBB enclosure, not including Styrofoam™ blocks
  • Complete S4S loudspeaker system includes:
    • S4S in-wall subwoofer
    • S4SBB back box (must be purchased separately)
    • High-quality, external two-channel power amplifier, such as the JBL Synthesis S800 (must be purchased separately)
